Bio

Louis Lipps was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers 23rd overall in 1984. He made an immediate impact in his NFL debut, recording two receiving touchdowns, including an 80-yard score. He was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year, finishing his rookie campaign with 860 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns. In the history of the Steelers franchise, he ranks fifth all-time in receiving yards (6,018) and sixth all-time in receiving touchdowns (39). Lipps was inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor in 2022 for his accomplishments over his eight seasons in Pittsburgh.
